Field Trips & Animal Presentations
Preuss Experience- A guided tour through our amazing facility, from the wondrous world of corals and marine fish to our expansive variety of both large and small birds. Also, take a trip through our very own "jungle" filled with reptiles and amphibians, and walk through the bus that resides INSIDE our store filled with small animals!
Prices: $2.00 per child for groups of 10 children or more. $4.00 per child for groups under 10 children.
Limitations: Please limit your group to 25 children. (Larger groups can be accommodated with advance notice.) Please bring one chaperone for every 10 children. *Cost is based on an hour-long experience. Extended times are available for an additional fee. Please specify duration when scheduling.
Looking for something a little more hands-on?
We also offer in store hands-on animal presentations that are similiar to our offsite presentations. During these presentations a qualified staff member will bring out an assortment of animals including "Apollo" our Savannah Monitor, "Fred" our South American Red Footed Tortoise, and in interesting collection of others. The exact list of animals involved in the presentations varies based on the animals temperament and feeding schedules.

Our Educational Tours are Fun for Children of All Ages!
Adults, you might just learn something too! Your Preuss Experience will begin in our newly completed Exploration Classroom, where you will get an up-close look at some of our coolest animals! From there you will be taken on a guided tour to learn more about our amazing and exotic animals from all over the world! Call today to schedule your group for an hour of fact-loaded fun! (Prices are the same as the "Preuss Experience" outlined above.)

We will travel anywhere! Inside the city limits of Lansing is free. A travel fee will be assessed outside the city limits of Lansing. We will do our best to accommodate animal requests. It is important to note however, that availability, weather conditionals, and the animal's safety and comfort are all considered when choosing which animals to bring.
