Tropical Birds

The Bird Department features some of our most noticable animals! (It's hard not to with all the chit-chat and commotion going on!) Preuss Animal House is proud to say that it has one of the largest selections of captive-bred, exotic birds in Michigan. Of course Preuss carries the common (but not to be overlooked) birds such as finches, parakeets, lovebirds, and cockatiels, but we also have the larger birds such as Caiques, Conures, Cockatoos, Amazons, African Greys, and Macaws!!! All of our babies are hatched here in Michigan. The babies then come to us to be hand-fed with baby bird formula by the well-trained bird department staff. This ensures that they are well socialized and bond well with people, especially to their future human companions. Preuss also has a wide variety of food and products as well as their cute little baby birds. A large selection of great seed and pellet foods such as Kaytee, Zupreem, Pretty Bird, Topper Bird Ranch, Golden Feast, Tropicana, Harrison's, etc. are available for any `type` of bird. We also carry vitamins, treats, grooming sprays, and pretty much anything else you may need (or just want) for your little feathered friends! We also sell high quality cages for any `type` of bird. No matter what you are looking for, we have it in (or at least we can get it in)! Kings Cages, California Cages, Hagen Cages, Blue Ribbon, Prevue, and Avian Adventures are a few of the types of cages we have in the store. We also stock an unbelieveable assortment of hand-held and hanging bird toys!! We have toys for the largest macaw to the tiniest finch to help keep them occupied and having fun!
